WHAT WE DO

WHY TITAN

Built for the home it lives in — technology that disappears.

Founded by David Harris and Randy Baker, TITAN is built on 20 years of partnership and a single belief — the best technology disappears into the architecture. We work with homeowners, architects, and builders who hire us once and keep calling.

DESIGN BEFORE SELL

DESIGN BEFORE SELL

We design before we sell

Most integrators hand you a parts list. We sit with the family, walk the architecture, and talk with your designer and builder before we spec a single device. Every room and routine maps into one system — then we show you what’s essential, what's worth adding, and what can wait.

Coordinated install

ON-SITE TUNING

We tune, test, and train

Hardware is the easy part. After install, we tune the dimming curves, balance the audio, refine the scenes, and train the household to actually use the system. Your home should work the way you live in it — not the way it was wired.

REMOTE MONITORING

REMOTE MONITORING

We see issues before you do.

Our monitoring catches firmware updates, network hiccups, and failing components from our office — most fixes happen remotely, no van roll. And when someone does need to come out, it's a technician who already knows your system and how it's tuned.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

What our
homeowners say

Homeowners across Great Falls, McLean, Aldie, Leesburg, Arlington, Potomac, and Bethesda trust TITAN with the systems they live with every day.

OUR PROCESS

How a smart home project actually starts.

Four phases. Every one of them documented and signed before we move on. No surprises mid-installation.

Call

It starts with a conversation. New build, renovation, or existing home — we listen first and learn how you live, what frustrates you, and what you want your home to do. No assumptions, no pressure.

Meet

Bring us in early — alongside your architect and designer, before ground is broken. We map the systems into the architecture: pre-wire, equipment locations, scene logic, the network. Some of the best decisions get made standing in front of framing.

Design

We lay every system onto your architectural plans using professional design software, then review the whole picture with you — multiple options, transparent pricing, and a clear timeline. You see exactly what goes where before anything is

Install

The same team that designed your system installs and tunes it — no handoffs, no contractor learning your project on the fly. We train the household, label the rack, and hand off complete documentation. And you're enrolled in the Performance Protection Plan from day one, so we're there long after the install.

01

How much does a custom-home smart system cost?

It depends on the size of the home, the scope, and the platform. A retrofit on Caséta lighting and a Sonos audio layer might land in the high four to low five figures. A full new-construction Crestron home with whole-house audio, lighting, video, climate, security, and network typically runs into six figures. Every quote is itemized.
02

Crestron vs. Savant vs. Control4 — which one fits my home?

Crestron is our most-installed system — it’s what we design around for most new builds and major renovations. Savant fits homeowners who care most about audio and elegant UI. Control4 is widely known and works well for many homes. We’re authorized for all three and we’ll tell you which one fits before we quote.
03

Can a smart home be retrofitted into an existing house?

Yes, often without opening walls. Wireless lighting (Lutron Caséta, RA3), mesh audio (Sonos), and overlay control all retrofit cleanly. The on-site consult is where we figure out what’s worth doing wireless vs. running new cabling.
04

Do you work with architects, designers, and builders?

Constantly. Most of our custom-home work comes through architects, interior designers, and builders across McLean, Potomac, Bethesda, and Northwest DC. We come in during pre-wire and stay through commissioning.
05

What happens after the install?

The Performance Protection Plan activates day one. Named-technician relationship, scheduled preventive maintenance, priority response. Remote monitoring ($100 per access point per year, and the number grows with the system) catches issues from our office before you notice them.
06

Do you support Apple Home, Google Home, and Alexa?

Yes. Crestron, Savant, and Control4 all integrate with the voice ecosystems. We make sure the integration actually works in your house.
07

What areas do you serve?

Custom homes across McLean, Great Falls, Potomac, Bethesda, Northwest DC, Chevy Chase, Vienna, Tysons, Arlington, Fairfax, and the surrounding DC Metro.
